Do you want to be a sportswriter? Here's your chance to learn from Henry Hecht, a nationally known sportswriter who spent 35 years as a writer, columnist and editor.

Sign up now, the two four-week sessions are limited to 10 students a session. You will learn the basics of sportswriting from someone who covered, to name just a few, Joe Torre, Willie Randolph, Don Mattingly, Reggie Jackson, Billy Martin, Tom Seaver, Pete Rose, Darryl Strawberry, Doc Gooden, Thurman Munson, Lou Carnesecca, John Thompson, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Walt Frazier, Willis Reed, Earl Monroe and Red Holzman.

Classes will be held three times a week, two hours per day, in an air-conditioned conference room in the Wall Street area. You will get a chance to talk to well-known sportswriters and either interview Joe Torre at Yankee Stadium or Willie Randolph at Shea Stadium. You also will spend time interviewing players from the Yankees' farm team on Staten Island and the Mets' Brooklyn Cyclones. The stories you write from these interviews will be valuable learning tools.
