This site showcases the (mostly) digital work of Andrew DiFiore from both Virtual Arts Studios and answerYES Interactive as well as random thoughts and experimental projects too volatile to be contained anywhere else.

Cycles On Call is a novel idea in bike repair and maintenance: they come to you! Schedule a repair or tune-up online, Cycles On Call comes by to pick-up your bike or bikes, and have it back to you in 24 to 48 hours. Now that’s convenience and quality service at affordable rates. Cycles On Call is strictly a repair shop so there is no overhead of a retail storefront.

Lou Kozar, the mastermind behind Cycles On Call, approached answerYES in late February to see if we could get all the application development done in time for the cycling season. This was a unique project requiring custom code and a database design that would support online and offline sales. We had to double-time it but within two and half weeks the application was fully functional and the website ready to take orders.

Launched this dynamic (i.e. client can update content themselves without having to know code) Flash website for Black Stone Construction Group based in Stamford, CT.

The client was very ambivalent whether or not to showcase both residential and commercial work on the same site for concern that residential prospects would think if Black Stone did commercial, they would be too expensive. Likewise, commercial prospects would think if they did residential, they would be too small. As a result, we ended up doing several iterations of the site, including this non-Flash (XHTML) version.

In the end they decided to showcase both in this interactive Flash version.

Tutoring Match was founded by former English teacher Henry Lane who believes every child should have the advantage of a great education. The website features several ways to search and match the right tutor to the student, including subjects, locations, experience, rates, and convenience.
